A user asked if the p.d.o repository would work with ubuntu. A quick check showed that it would not work (libc version conflict), but I guess this is just a false dependency and a quick rebuild should solve it. But I would rather not keep up with 2 build systems and 2 bts. So googling for 'debian developers faq to ubuntu' got me nothing.
I fear I will have to start listening to Queen and talk to the MOTU :-).

I am the one who originally asked about the packages for Ubuntu.
Well, yes, there's a dependency problem that is more a problem of naming than real dependency. At any rate, I needed newer sbcl so I managed to make a Ubuntu package of 0.9.0.39... it was a quick and dirty package, so, I have to correct some things and tomorrow I'll have more news.
If it's necesary, I'll make my own repository of Lisp-related packages for Ubuntu hoary (I was told that it would be more helpful for breezy, I see what I can do but I can't promise anything).
Peter, sorry for this long messages here, I know it's your blog and I have mine but since you seem to be the authority on this deparment (lisp/debian), everyone points to here.
Sorry and thank you.
All packages have on p.d.o have their source included and you should be able to recompile it without problems. It would be nice to have a ubuntu contact, as I'm suffering from massive confusion in dealing with ubuntu :-(.
No need to appologise, I just fear I'm not as active now as I was a few years ago, but I hope to add another little lisper to the OS world in a few years time :-).
As a said, I created my own repository and announced it on my blog.
Currently it only has sbcl and slime, but I'm hopping to make it grow soon.
Thank you Peter.
